Breathing Instructions for Kundalini Awakening
1. Begin by sitting in the contemplative posture of fudosai. The preferred mudra is to place the fingers of the right hand within the fingers of the left hand, palms facing upwards and thumb tips touching. The hands should then be comfortably lying in the genital region.
2. Place your tongue on the roof of your mouth, right behind where your teeth meet the palate. Close your eyes.
3. Begin to belly breath gently, breathing the air DOWN into the abdomen and expanding the stomach as it enters the body. Fill the lungs from the bottom up. Inhale for four counts. With the SLOW counting, time your breathing such that you have filled your lungs just as you reach four.
4. Exhale gently from the top to the bottom of your lungs, compressing your stomach inwards. This should draw the belly in nearer the spine. Repeat for a slow count of 10.
5. Inhale once more, like previously. There should be no break between breathing and exhaling; the breath should be continuous. Concentrate on the counting to keep distracting ideas at bay. Do this for at least 10 minutes every day.
The ultimate objective is to reduce breathing to four to six breaths per minute. The downward push of the inhale will ultimately become testicular breathing and expand out much below the navel with no movement of the upper ribs.
First and foremost, there is the Secret Smile.
The “Secret Smile” meditation is the first meditation necessary for success in the Lightening Path training. Always start your practice session with a concealed smile. You want your body to feel content. This manner, your hormonal system will cooperate and you will be less uncomfortable. Kundalini goes via a joyful camper the best, and this meditation is a procedure for internalizing a profoundly positive mind-state. Because raising the kundalini requires a certain level of intensity, this exercise depends on highly charged positive feelings that most people are familiar with. Heaven’s Way Chi Kung, Lightening Path Esoteric Yoga Secret Smile Meditation employs five emotions.
The Five Intense Positive Mind States in Motion
Put a grin on your face after you have been in the fudosai meditation position for 5-10 minutes and have began Zen breathing. Actually, you should elevate your cheeks so that the corners of your mouth turn up. Then, clench your toes until they ache, then release them. Repeat three times, paying attention to the relaxed sensation that arises between each pause. Move that calm sensation up from your feet’s soles to your ankles and finally to your calves. Bring it around to your knees and the thigh muscles, allowing them to soften and relax. Consider your thorax to be a grail that is filling up with relaxation. Fill up the intestines, stomach, and lower back as well. Allow it to flow up through your chest, upper back, and shoulder, overflowing through your arms and down to your fingertips. Allow your arms to fill up until the calm sensation moves up your neck and up the back of your head, passing over your ears and skull and resting behind your eyes. Swallow the sensation with your relaxed tongue and swirl it around at the bottom of your abdomen.
Remember a moment when you achieved something that you were not just proud of, but also when others noticed your accomplishment. Take note of how you felt. Remove the people and the event while retaining the emotion. Bring that sensation down to your feet and up through your body in the same way you did during active relaxation, but this time you don’t have to tense your toes. Bring it over your head, mix it with your saliva, swallow it, and allow it to mingle with your calm sensation before repeating the cycle. Repeat for three more breath cycles.
Happiness: Think of a moment when you were laughing so hard that you fell down, cracked up, and completely lost it. Take the joke or scenario out of the equation and hold on to that beautiful sensation. Bring that down to your feet, up through your body, over your head, swallow it, and mix it with the other sensations. Then, using the same process, combine the four sensations to breathe through your body. Do this for three or more breath cycles.
Consider a period when you were in love and felt loving. Remove the loved one and the setting, but keep that great sensation. Bring that down to your feet and up through
your body over your head, consume it, and mix it with the other emotions Then, using the same process, combine the four sensations to breathe through your body. Do this for three or more breath cycles.
The grin is only for adults above the age of 19. If you are sexually active, recall your best orgasm, and if you are male, remember the movement just before ejaculation and breathe that feeling through.
your body (since you don’t want to stain your pants, and male orgasms are frequently too brief for this activity). If you’re a female, let it all out as you breathe through your body from your toes to your head, down behind your eyes, through your tongue, and back to your belly. This is the power behind the secret smile, and it is one of those important items that is usually thought to be transmitted orally. Do this for three or more breath cycles.
Memorize the process once you’ve succeeded in combining all of these feelings and moving them from your feet to your head and back to below your stomach. Make it a part of your daily routine until it becomes so second nature that it only serves as a warm-up for other methods that stick with you.
