Why is this course unique?
This course is unlike anything else on the market. When it comes to Narrative Design, we’ll be looking at some pretty fascinating themes.

The Course Design
The course is nearly entirely video-based. It will take around 6.5 hours to finish. You will have a better idea of how to write for your games after completing this course.
The course is divided into eight major sections.
Section 2: Narrative Design Fundamentals
In this section, we will examine in depth at what story design is. Understanding all of the principles of writing and gaining a thorough understanding of story theory. We’ll also discuss game genres, player archetypes, mechanics, writing clarity, and much more.
Section 3: Pitch / Concept
We will look at how to produce and grow ideas from their origin through the creation of a full-fledged pitch paper. This portion allows you to develop your notion, which will be promoted throughout the course.
Section 4: World Construction
This is my favorite segment since we will look at the complexities of creating a full-scale universe from scratch. We will discuss the temperature, mood, location, who lives there, if it is fantasy or science fiction, and much more.
Section 5: Personality
We develop out our primary protagonist in this phase and give them a sense of purpose in our freshly built environment. This will allow us to decide which of the four primary categories of characters to develop. We looked at Character Psychology and the 16 personality types, as well as ways to make diversity in video games more efficient.
Section 6: Narrative
This section is all about providing the player a feeling of purpose throughout the game and appreciating their decisions. We examine the perspectives on player agency in linear, non-linear, and open-world games.
Section 7: Discussion
In this section, we’ll look at conversation and how important it is in games. How to compose conversation, the three primary forms, and how to include cutscenes into your game
Section 8: Tie everything together
This part synthesizes all preceding topics in order to comprehend the principles of story design.
Section 9: Bonus: Getting a Job as a Narrative Designer
In this Bonus Section, we look at the tools available to Narrative Designers to break into the business and begin their careers immediately after completing this course.
When you finish this course, you will receive a completion certificate.
