It’s known as Affiliate Marketing.

Finding a group of individuals who are eager for solutions to their issues (and prepared to pay for them) and offering them with solutions is what it is all about.

These are other people’s items that solve their problems…and you get paid a lot of money for it (kind of like a middleman).

How much do YOU make?

Anything between 30% and 75% of the product price…without developing, delivering, or even supporting the product!

And YES, it’s also true that if you had hopped on the internet business bandwagon sooner and spent hundreds of hours tweaking, testing, and analyzing, you may have been one of those success stories that “marketing professionals” like.

What they don’t tell you

Have you ever seen any of those large boasts on XYZ internet marketer’s websites about making numerous five, six, and even seven figures in such a short period of time?

I’m certain you have…

Standing in front of his 8,000-square-foot estate, surrounded by half a dozen flashy automobiles.

Or perhaps they are lounging on the beach with their laptop and a cocktail in hand, working “10 minutes” every day.

So here’s the truth.

What they don’t tell you is how they get that money.

Facebook, Instagram, Google, and Snapchat are all methods for gaining attention…

The actual money comes from promoting things to their email list.

It’s referred to as email affiliate marketing.

Copy and paste an email template marketing a product you believe in, and presto, you are paid a huge commission without having to do any effort.

But things grow worse…

Contrary to popular belief, most people who attempt to establish an affiliate marketing business (and perhaps you can relate) NEVER even make a profit.

In fact, my very first internet business cost me $9,000 in losses.

And the weird thing is, I did everything correctly. (My traffic was excellent, the product was proven to convert, and my email follow-up had been approved by one of the industry’s finest copywriters and kept customers engaged like champs.)

One little blunder…

But there was one minor oversight on my part that no one told me about (Really? I’m meant to start building an email list?) sank the entire company faster than the Titanic.

And I understand that my own spectacular fail may appear… unusual and odd.

But if you’ve ever tried to make money online (or listened to the problems of those who have), you’ll realize that a horror show isn’t that far from the normal at-home internet entrepreneur experience.

Here’s how the majority of affiliate marketing firms fail…

First, you choose a niche and product to market (if you don’t already have one), hoping that others would buy it.

However, there are niches inside niches. Which product do you select from the many available?

You look at a particular niche and it appears to be hot, but many others may have gotten in there before you and it may have been overcrowded.

You consider a less competitive niche, but how can you know whether people are buying anything at all? What if it’s a niche that was popular a long time ago but is no longer?

So, what exactly should your specialty be? Which items should you advertise at all?

You browse online, become overwhelmed by conflicting information, or just don’t know what to do.

You check your mailbox in the hopes of seeing some “proven niches” from one of the gurus you’ve been following…

You keep getting emails from “gurus” promising “one click riches” and “guaranteed income” with the touch of a mouse…with only 5 minutes “effort” each day drinking cocktails by the beach, of course.

Maybe you even go to your “SPAM” folder in case there’s a precious nugget of information in there.

Nothing.

How do you know who to believe?

Then it’s time to get into that program that you obtained a free trial for a few weeks ago (and forgot to cancel, so it’s now costing you a pretty penny monthly).

But you claim it’s “all good”…

“I’ll pay it off with my first affiliate commission!”

The beginning is usually the most difficult. It will become easier.

You take careful notes while you watch hours of video training at the end, you refresh your memory by checking at the “cheatsheets” offered, and you tie it all together by attempting to construct your own “automatic money machine” with the program (or so the website said).

After all, they make it appear so simple; it can’t be that difficult, can it?

What if you could become “lucky” and hit it big only once or twice to give you that much-needed boost in confidence and income flow?

Simply to make a little bucks, recoup your investment, and demonstrate to yourself (and others) that affiliate marketing works.

You log into the course you just paid a thousand dollars for.

As the adage goes, “stand on the shoulders of giants.”

You inventory everything – ebooks, checklists, cheatsheets, videos, live webinars, live coaching, and so on.

You cruise through the training, watching the videos and maybe even asking the “guru” a few questions while you desperately try to patch together different systems, “hacks,” blueprints, and “fail proof” tactics that make assembly Ikea furniture look easy.

And supposing you get lucky…

You come across a product to advertise that checks all the requirements…

When the moment comes…

You go over your notes, make some modifications to the email you sent to your list marketing the product (“What was I thinking with that subject lie?”) and send it out again. and take a few deep breaths and stretches to ensure you’re in the correct “emotional brain space” to start your affiliate marketing company… As if any of us have any idea what that implies.

So you’re in a nice mood. Checkmarks. Everything is in order.

Minutes before you click “Send,” you check at your Facebook page and see three hyped-up, energetic individuals feverishly talking how affiliate marketing is all dead now and it’s all about ecommerce and websites, how Trump will start a war, the US economy will stall, and the USD will collapse as a result.

What will happen to your affiliate marketing business? Should I keep selling items on the internet? AHH.

You’re concerned…

But the show must go on – surely the proven items you’re marketing and the global increase in internet users more than compensate for any drops in the local economy, right?

So you battle the flinch, give it your best, and attempt to make sense of everything.

Your mind is filled with nasty self-talk:

“Who am I to believe I can pull this off?”

“I spent a lot of money on this, and it’s not going to work.”

“I’ve been taken for a ride again again.”

“My family and friends will see me as a loser.”
